Debt collection

I am sure we have seen the blogs here about debts. We have heard about the horror stories. CNN has an article on their website about some of the horror stories. There were some aggressive debt collectors some of them were bending the rules. The problem I see with the article is that a person should not have to go through bankrupcy to deal with them.
There are some cc companies who deliberately post money late to accounts on purpose. You can tell when you write the check then have someone sign for it. It was then posted later than what they signed for it. You could say that is wrong. There have been lawsuits over this but people who filed for bankrupcy are automatically excluded.
The problem is I think people should be able to feel safe in their homes. There should be protections the FDCPA for those in the USA. There are people who dont care about the rules. People should not have to file bankrupcy to get rid of them.
Even after bankrupcy one did try to contact people. Also, bankrupcy aftets your abilikty to get insurance. Yes you can be denied insurance because of bankrupcy. This is so wrong.
