You may have seen my previous post on global warming. My position, however, had changed since then.
Global warming IS occuring to some extent, some of it most likely being man-made, but it is really not as severe as people claim it to be.
Look at Antarctica. 90% of the world's ice is located there and there really aren't too many research stations placed there. The most readily accessible area is the Antarctic peninsula (4% of Antarctica) and it is melting. The rest of the continent it is hard to say about, but looking at the few stations elsewhere, it seems like most of Antarctica is NOT melting.
The temperature had risen .33 deg. Celsius in the past hundred years. I do not know how statistically significant that is compared to the other centuries (as the data from back then is not quite as good), but it does not seem like a big number. Even if we triple for every century (since the rise hasn't been too linear), .99+2.97 is less than 4 degrees in the next 200 years. I don't know about you, but 4 degrees doesn't seem like much, since a daily variation in temperature can be as much as 15 degrees or so.
Don't get me wrong, pollution is bad. It creates cancer, ozone, etc...but I think we really do not need to take global warming as seriosly as Arnold tries to make it to be.

I don't mean to attack your post, but I've just got to say that I think global warming is something we need to take seriously. I found out recently about something that I don't think most people know about (I certainly didn't anyway) that would suggest that global warming is actually worse than we think.
Here is an article about it, it's called Global Dimming . . .

It may not seem like a big diffference, but those raised temperatures have already caused the extinction of some types of frogs and several species of corals. The extinction of corals has caused an imbalance in the food chain in the ocean. This imbalance has lead to an increase in the jellyfish population (of multiple species, including giant jellies google it!) Global warming is already affecting the world, we are seeing the consequences right now and it is a problem that needs to be dealt with. http://www.nrdc.org/globalWarming/fcons.asp lists many of the consequences. See for yourself.
