The North American Union (abbreviated NAU) is a theoretical continental union of Canada, Mexico and the United States similar in structure to the European Union, sometimes including a common currency called the Amero. Officials from all three nations have said there are no government plans to create such a union,[1] although the idea has been discussed and proposed in academic and scholarly circles, either as a union or as a North American Community (see Independent Task Force on North America).
President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.
Secretly, the Bush administration is pursuing a policy to expand NAFTA politically, setting the stage for a North American Union designed to encompass the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. What the Bush administration truly wants is the free, unimpeded movement of people across open borders with Mexico and Canada.
President Bush intends to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed.
The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union:
At their meeting in Waco, Texas, at the end of March 2005, U.S. President George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin committed their governments to a path of cooperation and joint action. We welcome this important development and offer this report to add urgency and specific recommendations to strengthen their efforts.
What is the plan? Simple, erase the borders. The plan is contained in a "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" little noticed when President Bush and President Fox created it in March 2005:
In March 2005, the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States adopted a Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), establishing ministerial-level working groups to address key security and economic issues facing North America and setting a short deadline for reporting progress back to their governments. President Bush described the significance of the SPP as putting forward a common commitment "to markets and democracy, freedom and trade, and mutual prosperity and security." The policy framework articulated by the three leaders is a significant commitment that will benefit from broad discussion and advice. The Task Force is pleased to provide specific advice on how the partnership can be pursued and realized.
To that end, the Task Force proposes the creation by 2010 of a North American community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity. We propose a community based on the principle affirmed in the March 2005 Joint Statement of the three leaders that "our security and prosperity are mutually dependent and complementary." Its boundaries will be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter within which the movement of people, products, and capital will be legal, orderly and safe. Its goal will be to guarantee a free, secure, just, and prosperous North America.
This is all crap. By the way you do know theoretical means theory, right? Basically it is an idea. The union would be like the EU, there would be no erasing of borders. Besides talks like this have been going on for at least five decades and before even, there is no evidence that it will happen by 2010.

I distrust Lou Dobbs, he's not always the most trustworthy person, along with all other conservative and liberal talk show hosts.
The Patriot Act was easy to pull off, no one read it so it was passed. Next time people should read the law their passing. Common sense that it seems even you have missed. So basically you're a conspiracy theoriest. It is easy to go into Iraq, no one in a country that has been attacked is going to listen to the UN when they say Iraq has no weapons. It happens all the time. Besides 9/11 being a government conspiracy is far more likely than the Anti-christ coming.
Do you see the things you buy in japanese, french and chinese as well as english? Because they all have accepted that people who buy their products don't always speak their language. It is just good business practices, not a conspiracy to destroy the US.

And there are borders that define the adminstrative geography of each member country but there is nothing which prevents free movement of people. There is not even a little boothe or any other sort of checkpoint along the highway. Just a "Welcome to wherever" sign and perhaps the language of the road signs suddenly changes. Citizens of the EU member countries are supposed to be able to move freely, but as a practical matter everybody, including illegal aliens, can move freely between EU countries because nobody is checking.
If such free movement were allowed here, the first thing that would happen would be that every sick person in Mexico would be lined up in our emergency rooms for free (to them) medical care. Things would get worse from there.
But you are right that nothing like that has been progressed through our government. I don't doubt that there are people like our President and all three of the presidential contenders who would like to see it happen but it would require a Treaty and a 2/3rds vote by Congress and I don't see that happening when they can't even push through an amnesty (thank God!) with a simple majority.
People are already here. In the grand scheme of things, it's only been about 160 years since the United States destroyed Mexico in the U.S./Mexican war. We took half of Mexico's land. Now I'm not defending illegal immigrants at all, but a population that was once in was place and is stuck behind a border is going to inevitably move across. Geologically there is not much time between then and now.
The European Union is more powerful than America now, economically. Why is this? Because economic integration works. Now we may not need the same system that the EU uses, but there is a benefit. American jobs will leave the country whether or not we have free trade agreements and no borders. Things change and the world changes. Technology and the speed of communications decreases the size of the globe, so there is less need for as much partitioning of lands along national boundaries.

First of all, there is no official language of the US. The language is "suppose" to be whatever people are speaking.
Second of all, I don't see what the big deal is. You didn't mention any of the pitfalls of having a union other than something about a one world government. I see this as a good thing as long as we're not sacrificing our rights to do so.
