Being on the Tail End of the Rights Movements

I decided a few months ago to change my stance from 'gay-rights' to 'gay-equality'. The change came about when some idiot on Gaia said something along the lines of 'why do gays get special rights?'. The change is more of a.... 'hey idiot, get it right' change than a real significant change it ideology.

But that's not what this is about. Well, not really. You see, a few years back, I was attacked for being bisexual. Not for flaunting, because I don't, not for being whore-ish about it, because I'm not. Just for being bi. All of.... seven people know that I'm bi and everyone else just thinks I'm eccentric. I don't feel any perticular need to tell everyone that I'm bi, but when the need arises, I'll slip it in. Or if someone asks, I'll tell. If someone's going to drop me because they think I'm 'indecisive', then it should be because I'm indecisive over what layout to use in yearbook, not for my preference in dating.

Then I got some flack from a gay guy about being too open-minded. Holy crackerjacks, batman, this one has a prize inside. A gay-guy. Pissed at me. For being 'too open-minded'. Let me just seal my brain back up with some conserva-gel. Someone calls me greedy. I roll my eyes. Wait till they hear the next part.

:D

I also want to experiment with polygamy/polyamory. hehehe, yeah. Greedy biznatch for life. But I've always had a fascination with anything taboo, spirits, homosexuality, sex in general, etcetra and so forth. Only my boyfriend and a few of my friends know that I want to study/experiment. But I'm too damned lazy and in love with my current boyfriend to want to give up that time to anyone else.

But that too, I've gotten flack for. If it's not some bottom feeder putting me and that abomination Warren Jeffs in the same hole, it's someone telling me, yet again, that I'm some greedy lady of ill-repute. Woopsie-doodle, guess the conserva-gal ain't workin'.

Anyways, I guess this was suppose to be a rant about how I don't understand why polygamy and homo/bisexuality are so looked down on. Me thinks, perhaps, that the publicity given is taken from the wrong place. Who is going to support polygamy when people like Warren Jeffs are running around forcing girls into incestous relationships?

Who... ah...

Okay, I'm gonna stop. My brain just ran out of steam.

People assume we're heterosexual ever since we were born. They want to keep it that way too. Homosexuality and polygamy promote sex in many religious people's eyes. Most of them believe sex is only okay if it's between a man and a woman, in a bedroom, in the dark, etc. I don't see problems with homosexuality and polygamy as long as all parties are happy. But if the guy forces the women and his children to be his sex toys, that's just something I do not agree with. You are free to experiment as long as you make sure the other party knows you're just testing the water. If you don't, you'll hurt more people along the way.
