It seems like the U.S. is in tough economic times. I recently lost my job due to the failing economy. I had foreseen the departure from my job, so it wasn't a huge shock. The only thought I had was, what to do now? It's been almost a month and I have not yet found a job.I applied to four different company's and still no answer. But I cannot give up.I have faith that I will find me a job.Im starting college this fall and I have bills to pay.I just cannot rely on my parents. My parents tell me that I should not be picky.I know I shouldn't but, I know how much im worth. I don't know if I don't understand the situation Im in right now or am I simply being naive.I feel like I completely exhausted all of my sources. Or better yet, maybe Im not trying hard enough. Maybe I think that the perfect job opportunity will just fall out of the sky But I wonder, If I never lost my job,Will my life be in a better position then what it is now. Would I actually have gotten stuff that I have so longed put off due to my hectic work schedule. The answers to my questions would be no. If I never went through this ordeal, you wouldn't be able to hear my story. While it seems like Im complaining, Im merely being truthful.I need a job.
Why Lie? I Need A Job!

Am also now jobless, but with efforts that am putting on my road am hoping to find one soon. You need though to be flexible and as your parents say I think if everything comes to worse you'll stop being picky and go for what comes along just to clear the bills, many out there need jobs so badly with this economy and sticky wages and the inflation. good luck and check out the comcast official site you might get something, I didn't get but you might be lucky keep on trying there is something out there for you

A friend of mine was downsized recently, and she applied for close to a hundred jobs before she finally got one. This was not because of her lack of credentials, either. (Although it was probably so bad for her because all her experience is in real estate and mortgages...but commercial real estate, which has not crashed like residential).
The thing to keep in mind is that a worker's value changes with the economy. I'm sure you are smart and a good worker, but when there are smarter, better workers who are also unemployed out there, it makes you worth less. And when the field is bigger and the economy is slower, employers just don't offer the wages they do during boom time. So your parents are absolutely right. Some job is better than no job, even if it pays less than your last one. You can always take a job you think is beneath you and keep looking for something more fitting to your worth.

job to survive.
I've scrubbed my share of toilets. Degree or no, it has to be done and somebody was willing to pay me for it. A girl's gotta eat! (Which is really a gross thing to say right after talking about scrubbing toilets!)
