I just saw the article about the girl with four kidneys. She says that she plans to donate some. Personally, I would hope that she would donate them. No one really needs four kidneys. How did she end up with four? Are they all healthy? Obviously they will need to make sure that she and her kidneys are healthy before anything else happens. I do think its great that she is willing to donate her extra kidneys to help out the lives of other youngsters who need new ones. If only everyone could be so willing to help...
I would like to think that I would be that willing to help. Here at school we have blood drives and a bone marrow donor drive. I have given blood every time that I am able to, and I am listed in the bone marrow donor registry. One student here at Kettering actually was selected as a donor.
I have heard that bone marrow donor have to endure a lot of pain in order to produce the extra marrow and to harvest it. Being able to help someone out and give them a chance to have a future healthy life is more than enough reward for me though. Maybe I will be selected someday?

I think your cause is very admirable. Often times, people over look the simple volunteer opportunity to give blood. I think that it's even more generous that the young lady with four kidneys is willing to go under extensive surgery to help others in need.
I would love to give blood, but apparently you have to weigh at least 110lbs. x.x
