Top Seven Causes of Death and funeral Cost

It is quite ironic that the top seven causes of death increase funeral cost. One would think that no health insurance would bring about lower funeral cost.. It is simply not true.
I like to refer to it as the sudden death shocker. The sudden death shocker increases your funeral cost because you are in shock at the time of death of a loved one and you incur higher funeral costs.

It is very interesting that what the government tells you are the top causes of death, cancer and heart disease are not at the top of the list at all.
We will begin to explore this in this post, and go into depth in posts in future blogs.

1st cause of death:No Health Insurance. This is referenced everywhere. 1 out of 7 Americans have no health insurance.(AMA) In the book "You the Smart Patient" this scenario is described well. Not only does the SUDDEN DEATH SHOCKER contribute to funeral cost here but so does government intervention by way of the public aide funeral available in most states.(the high cost does not come in the money given for the funeral but instead administrative cost)

2nd cause of death: Substandard Health Insurance. When you have substandard health insurance one cannot access the Specialists, the tests and the doctors to stay alive. The Sudden Death Shocker applies to the funeral cost.

3rd cause of death: Medicaid Health insurance. This is truly sad. If you are on Medicaid, flat out, the good doctors refuse to treat you. You cannot get the medicine and treatment you need to survive. Funeral cost increases mentioned in #1 apply.

4th cause of death: Too expensive Health insurance. You would think this would not contribute to your death because it does. Even wealthy folks cannot afford over $25,000.00 per year in Health insurance premiums. Remarkably people who have expensive health insurance are eventually thrown into the #1 Scenario and death and the the Sudden Death Shocker apply.

5th cause of Death: recreational drugs This is pretty much self explanatory and drummed into all of us from a young age. Sudden death Shocker applies

6th cause of death: Misuse of Prescription Drugs. Heath Ledger is a good example of this. The Sudden Death Shocker of higher funeral cost applies.

7th cause of death. Auto Accidents 40,000 plus a year. Why do not we complain about this like the war in IRAQ? This question has been asked for a long, long time.
The figure does not include auto accidents as the secondary cause of death.
