So, it is no secret that New York City mayor Bloomberg has represented the face of gun-grabbing in the United States (Just as the UN represents it around the world).
Now attacking the Second Amendment isn't enough for his camp. He is moving to the First.
In a civil lawsuit set to begin in a week or so against a gun dealer from Georga, Bloomberg and his lawyers have requested that there be a gag order on any references to the 2nd Amendment.
That's right, in a case about the right to sell firearms, Bloomberg doesn't want anyone to mention the 2nd Amendment. You know, the one that allows us to keep and bear firearms.
What is this case? Well, Mr Wallace, a gun shop owner from Georgia, is finding himself involved in a lawsuit.
Mayor Bloomberg, mayor of a city that is NOT in Georgia, in case he hasn't looked at a map, feels that he has a right to sue business owners in other states for things done in his city by people that are not representatives of the business.
In short, people go and buy guns from gun shops in neighboring states, then sells them to criminals in NYC, who then use them in crimes. Rather than find and prosecute the people who are selling guns to criminals (That'd be illegal), he wants to go after the gun shop that legally sold a gun to a person who could legally buy a gun. They call it a 'straw purchase' when someone buys a gun and then sells it to someone else who can't buy one.
Mayor Bloomberg, never one to let reality get in the way of his insane cause, feels that it is the responsibility of a gun shop to know what you are going to do with the things you buy from them.
In actuality, this case isn't about gun crime. Bloomberg couldn't care less about gun crime, as he is only seeking to punish LEGAL gun owners.
This is just another case of government trying to infringe upon your rights, as spelled out in the Constitution, for the sake of consolidating power.
Is it any doubt that the areas with the most strict gun control (San Fran, Chicago, DC, NYC) also have incredible corruption?
They do not fear crime, for they are guarded by armed guards, day in and day out. Protection by firearms, of course, is a benefit that the left does not want YOU to have.
Why? If you are empowered, then you are not dependent.
If you are not dependent, then you are free.
Recognize people like Bloomberg for what they are: Socialists who want to turn you, a free American Citizen, into a slave of the State.
Fight against Gun Control. It always turns out badly. If you need proof, reference the USSR, Nazi Germany and Darfur.

They should be going after the guy who sold the gun to the criminal, not the shop owner who sold it legally. I don't understand how they even have a case against the shop owner.

In reality they don't have a case. However, what they DO have is a demonization of gun shop owners and a general hated of firearms.
That lets judges and lawyers with an agenda backhandedly create bans without having to mess with that "Congress" thing.
I am a STRONG supporter of the 2nd Amendment's applicibility to all legal americans and am disgusted with people like Mayor Bloomberg and his crusade against legal gun owners.
He supports (and wants to expand) the same gun bans on nyc citizens that Rudy and mayors before him supported. They would rather, when faced with an armed criminal, that the potential victim be unarmed.
To them, that is 'fair'
When seconds count, police are minutes away.... the politicians who think that is just fine are the same ones with armed personal security (on the taxpayer's dime, generally)
And, the best part of all (in their eyes)? That many of us people are willing to stand up for them against legal gun owners.
Good to see you back! It seems like it has been a few months.
Been a while, it has. I had been laid off from my previous job and within a couple weeks got hired elsewhere doing the same thing.
I'm entrenched enough now to know when I can do things like this.
Won't be like I was, just random spatterings during the day.
They shouldn't even be messing with the guy with the gun shop. What the heck? He only sold the gun. Not the crime. Bloomberg needs to go sit down somewhere.
I've been around long enough to know that people on the Left (the anti-gun folk) never really care about fact nearly as much as browbeating people who disagree with them, demonizing people who do things they don't like, then trying to get it banned.
(Then, they like to say that only conservatives do that.)
