More than 100 firefighters in 2 counties in Florida are working to contain fires that scorched more than 8,000 acres on Sunday. The fire also destroyed at least one home and contributed to a fatal car accident on the interstate. The interstate is closed and over 1,000 people had to evacuate their homes. Since January 1st, there has been over 2,000 forest fires in Florida. Firefighters don't doubt that there will be many more, especially through the summer season, which they predict will be dry. This has been the main causes of these multiple fires.
