Crayons are cool.

Even if you don't like John Mayer as a musician, comedian, person ... This quote I find to be pretty insightful, even if it is an analogy involving crayons.

“Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's ok though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, "hey girl, magenta!" and she's like, "oh, you mean purple!" and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, "no - I want magenta!"”  -John Mayer

Like Mr. Mayer I'd like to think of myself as a 64-color box. I want to make sure I have nearly every color to bring to the table for myself, my friends, family, and soul-mate (wherever he is... lol)

Does anybody else (who is packing 64 .. or somewhere close to) find it difficult to meet someone (whether it be for romance or friendship) that has reached that same level? I do. Maybe I just live in a place that doesnt cultivate so many colors ...

Anyways just thought I'd share what I considder to be a really cool quote. THE END!

It's a pretty funny and true quote. I think im close to 64, but some of my crayons fall out in my backpack. :/

I'm definitely a 64! There are lots of times when I'm really excited about something or have an idea or laugh about something I find ironic and marvel over something simple and the people around me aren't getting it. :)

I love that.. great analogy. I hope I'm a 64!

I'm definitly a 64, cuz I'm just a lot of things that add up to me. Most people just write me off as weird. But, I like being weird, I have more fun! Weirdos rock! May THe Force Be With You!

I love that! I'd like to think of myself as a 64-pack. Maybe I do have a few missing, but hopefully I can meet another 64-pack who's got what I'm missing, and we can make a complete package.

I find it incredibly difficult, yes. Even my best friends don't get me sometimes.

I think everyone would like to think of themselves as a 64 pack. I know I would!

wow that was really good insite on life...from a different aspect but yet it was still understandable!!

I definitely feel like I am 64, though a few of my crayons are cracked and no longer pointy, but i do have that handy dandy sharpener. :) I do agree that it sucks to try and find a person to date or even hang out with. With prom season fast approaching, i feel that even more and wonder if there's even a guy out there that would want to date me
CMB

I feel that way too sometimes. Like you are the 64 box, but the kids used you so much all the tips are flat.

I think i may be 24 or something, because i have alot of ideas and thoughts that no one else has and yet i am a typical person who abides the rules and can relate to everyone else (8-colored ones) lol WOW, i love that quote! Thanks. ~<3~Love and be loved!~<3~

I also have a vivid imagination and look forward to the colors that may have a chance in our future. :-) GO FUSIA!

I think that it's not about having a lot of colors, it's about finding the same colors that other people have =)and if not, then it's about being open to being able to experience other colors... For example, I speak japanese, and whenever I try to teach my boyfriend how to say something he can't hear a certain sound i'm making because it's not a color in his box.

also, i don't think anybody is an 8 pack... to you, they just have the 8 colors that you recognize, and all other colors are disregarded because they aren't understandable or not comprehendible. I'm colorblind and don't see the difference between sometimes black and blue, but... whatever color the non red-green one is... lol think of it as colorblindness. it's there, but you do'nt see it... but once you're aware that there might be a difference and leave it to faith it becoems easier to differentiate the extreme subtleties in texture or color...

Wow that is pretty funny.

People Are Like A Box Of Crayons, Some Are Dull, Some Are Sharp, Some Are Pretty, But They Exsist Pretty Nicely In The Same Box!"

That is a funny way to look at it.
