Jeffery Lundgren was supposed to be executed next week, but there is going to be a small delay. Jeffery Lundgren is a cult leader, but that is besides the point. He is challenging the state’s use of lethal injection. Appearantaly Jeffery is overweight and diabetic, therefore the lethal injection process may mean that he will have a greater risk of experiencing pain and suffering. The argrument that lethal injection is unconstitutional because it is cruel and painful has lead to the delay of the execution. Yet, the delay is supposed to be minimal as simple flaws in Ohio’s execution process can be fixed so that perhaps Jeffery and others like him won’t have a great risk of pain and suffering. Lundgren’s sentence is cause by the fact that in 1989 in fatal shoot a family of five. He also organized a cult. Lundgren is being able to join the court case of Richard Cooey which argues that the way chemicals are used in lethal injection makes the process painful enough to violate the constitiution. Overall, I understand the thought process that his overweight nature might lead to more pain and suffering. Yet, he did put the family he killed through pain and suffering. Therefore I do not feel much sympathy towards him…

I cant say that I have any sympathy towards that man. He KILLED a family of 5 over 16 years ago. He has been rotting in some prison on death row for that long?? What about the money American tax payers give the government to pay for people like that man to sit in cells.
What should it matter if it hurts a little? It'll hurt for a second, and then he'll be dead. There will be no more feeling. I dont think it really matters, nor to I have any sympathy for that man, or any other guilty party that has been exicuted. My only sympathy is for the innocent people that may have been killed using the death penalty or forced to stay in prison until the court finally figures out it wasnt their fault.
