Teens have begun to increase their drug usage as well as drinking. Not only have teens started using , but teenage girls have started using. This is not ladylike. The thing is that they had to start it some how; parents, peers, or just experimenting. Some teenagers see their parents using drugs and they that it is okay for them to do it as well. Some of the parents even let te teenagers do it with them. Part of this addiction comes from so called "friends".You want to be apart of the popular group, but they wont let you in unless you can smoke blunts with them. Some do it just to eperiment with it. If some girls would only think about the effect of drinking and using drugs i think they would stop. Drugs and alcohol are the number reasons for rape, vehicle accidents, pregnancies, and death.

I completely agree. I don't understand the teenage facination with alcohol and other illegal substances today. What's the point? Do they not realize that messing around with that kind of stuff will more than likely ruin their future?
Almost every year, someone I know is killed by a drunk driver, or from a drunk driving.
It's ridiculous.. why threaten your life to get a rush?
I agree also but would like to add that not only is using drugs not ladylike but it is also not very gentlemen like either. Especially when the guy is using drugs to take advantage of a girl when she thinks he is giving her something else or is not aware that she is recieving drugs at all.
Yea, I'm so sick of my high school and can't wait to graduate in June. I don't know if every high school is like mine, but students show up drunk and/or high to class. On a field trip a bunch of underage students stole alchohol from some store. It's just crazy. And I went to a field trip to an outdoor aquarium and half of the students were smoking cigarrettes and/or pot. It's just stupid.
Are you saying that it is okay for guys to do it but not girls? I agree with you on some of your opinions but on others I disagree on others. Drugs are bad, and I think alot of the useage and thrill comes from the fact that it is illegel, its rebellion in a way but you make it sound like its alright for the guys in our society to do it but not the girls. Drugs and underage drinking are bad for both sexes. Its unlady like to sware as well but I dont see you writing a blog on that. The fact that you say that girls shouldnt drink and do drugs because "its unlady like" is completly unfounded and outrageous I have a small glass of red wine with my grandparents every great once an awhile. Oh no I'm drinking am I acting Unlady like? I dont think so.
No im not saying that it is okay for guys but i was just bringing the fact out that girls have started to increase in this activities
I agree that drugs are a problem and teenagers should be discouraged from doing them.
Your characterization of them as "unladylike" is counter-productive, though. It implies that girls should be expected to act in a "ladylike" fashion, whatever that is, which is sexist and demeaning. Drugs are bad because they're unhealthy for people - male, female, or otherwise, not because they violate some patriarchal heirarchy.
I look back now to how I as then and I acted the way you just described. I wish I wouldn't have, because you make very poor decisions just so that you can be considered "cool". That's all high school is. It takes finishing high school (if your lucky enough to do that) and then you realize the ones that you worked so hard to be cool with, no longer want anything to do with you and you all go your seperate ways! I think it is rediculous though, guys or girls (not just woman), it can cause so many problems, STDS (from unprotected sex), not to mention the pregnancies, and if you do to much at one time, it could be fatal. Parents need to step up and teach these kids some morals, maybe it could stop that endless cycle!
