So recently we've heard about all of this slandering of the presedential candidates. And honestly I'm sick of it. We hear about so many of the bad things that the good are overlooked. Most of America knows not what the candidates have done good in their life, but what they've done wrong, or supposedly done wrong. While it's important to know if they have done anything wrong, we can't ignore everything else. The media needs to try and look at both sides of the spectrum in order to effectively educate the nation.
Why is it that we always look to find the worst in people. Is it our human nature. It's a terrible thought if you think about it.
Let's say we meet a nationally recognized hero who saved 5 people from a burning building. The nation cheers until some deep dark secret is revealed. It instantly changes the focus of this man. We should be commending the hero not trying to degrade him.
I would rather have a president who has done things that are good, not simply one who has stayed out of trouble. We all make mistakes and they are human just like us. Are we really justified to judge them when we ourselves are not perfect?
In deciding our future president we as a country need to keep a balanced mindset between what we look for in a president. The bad should be taken into account but we shouldn't shun the successes of the candidates. Anyone have another idea?
really?
