Okay, this story will most likely scare most of you, and cause you second think why some people are allowed to reproduce.
I found this story on msn.com in their news section and the headline just made me stop what I was doing and I had to read it. This lady from Florida found out that her neighbor was sexually abusing her 7 year old son. She confronted the neighbor and he gave her $600 to keep her quiet about it, and she let him abuse her son again and again after she accepted the money.
What is wrong with this lady? Why in the world would you ever accept money to stay quiet about your son being sexually abused? That is completely absurd!
She was charged with capitol sexual battery and child abuse. Her neighbor was charged with capital sexual battery. They're both in jail being held without bail. The lady's children were taken from her custody.
So, knowing all the facts that are out there, what do you think about this issue? What do you think should happen to these two adults?

The woman also pleaded no contest to prostitution in June of last year, and was in jail in 1996 for marijuana possession.

Either that or no contact with kids, jail indefinately at a maximum security prison. That should teach then what its like to be innapropriately touched.

I think she should get severely punished and not be allowed to talk to her children again because that is just cruel. The kid is going to be scarred for life now!
She is a very sick woman, and the very thought of that disgusts me. I am mildly entertained by those who say how severely she should be punished, life imprisonment etc. I'm not entertained by you all, just by our society. Becuase this is a society where murderers get parole after five years, innocents are imprisoned, and abusive parents get children back everyday because of lack of evidence. As horrible as it is, she'll go to jail for a few years, register as a sex offender, and have more kids to do what she wants with later. That's how sad our society has become

The neighbor disgusts me almost as much as the "mother." That woman doesn't deserve to call herself anyone's caregiver.
Let me just first say - I have a child. I would have many battery charges if I ever found out anyone had ever touched a hair on his head, much less his private parts.
Considering the state of "the system" she'll probably be awarded custody and her children returned to after some counseling. It's sickening, it really is. Some people should just NOT be allowed to have children.
This is true. In the meantime, someone on the other side of the country who is a perfect parent will have their children taken away because an angry relative, ex, or anyone else in the world accused them of abuse. I've seen it happen. It's terrible.

This is the saddest story I have ever heard. I think that both the abuser and the mother should get life in prison. That mother should not be allowed to ever have children again, nor have contact with the one she already has. That poor child is going to be traumatized for life and forever have trust issues. She doesn't deserve to be free.
