How in the world are these two mega-billion corporations responsible for kids getting into Narco-Traffic? It’s simple, the power of advertising. The TV commercial advertisements for Nike are aggressive and perverse in many ways…The simple act of  targeting kids in the most economically divided country in the world is a stupid thing to do.  According to Jose Junior elected one of 200 young world leaders by the social forum in Davos, because of his revolutionary ONG (Afro-Reggae) and his work on the Brazilian slumps, “All the kids I know that are involved in crime dreamt of having Nike shoes, they would literally kill to have a pair from the brand.”

Killing for Nike shoes is not very uncommon in the huge maga-tropolis, and is arguably a result of socially irresponsible campaigning by the Nike executives. Maybe it’s not so crazy of an idea for the US government to declare economic sanctions and perpetual prison sentences in Guantanamo  Bay for these coward executives.

How about McDonald’s? How can a $2 burger be the cause of Narco-Traffic? Am I (the blogger) freakin nuts? Well, if you see a McD’s commercial, and every one is happy and singing the “big-mac song” and it tells you that you need to purchase this big-mac…And you and your family don’t have the money to purchase the meal…The commercial is telling you subliminally “either you have this, or you are a nobody” And since these kids don’t want to be nobody’s…

No offense, but suggesting that Mc Donalds is at fault for deaths, is as unresponsible as saying that Mc Donald's is at fault for obesity. So they have good advertising, snaps for them, but it is up to the consumer to decide whether or not the product is truly praise worthy. Jose Junior is using these companies as a scapegoat. If it were not Nike, then it would be some other companany or hot item.

I have to agree with debatechick. Even though McDonalds is partially at fault for obesity, its the stupidity of the people who go there everyday to eat, even when they know the risks.

aiaiaia...This is progressive youth or progressive nitwits? Who was talking about obesity? Do you people now how to read? The point is simple, not everyone lives in the US. There are underdeveloped countries in the world. A person watching a nike ad or McD's on TV in the United States will not kill for food or shoes. Somebody in a country where they only get to eat a decent meal 3 times a week might. Specially if watching the ads make you feel like shit... Not so much Mcd's but nike needs to watch out for that...
