I'm a girl, but I can still beat you up. (plus edit!)

I got into an argument with my friend yesterday.

His grandpa owns a tractor dealer, and often sends him on pick-up runs. Well, yesterday, I wasn’t too happy with him. He ended making a big deal about the fact that he went the wrong way on a call, and told me he ended up going into Detroit (yeah, I live in Michigan). I pointed out that he would have had to go through the town where my grandparents live, if he took the route he says. He says he did. He then proceeded to argue with me about being able to see the lights of Detroit from where he was at… Uh, my grandparents live in a suburb of Port Huron… Which is NOT, as he claims, 26 miles away from the big D (http://www.smart-traveler.info/map_of_mi.html, scroll down and tell me for yourself). I told him that. He got mad at me because I argued with him about it. I apparently “have NO CLUE what [I’m] talking about”, according to him. Er, yes I do. I travel around there a LOT. My grandparents live around there. I GREW UP THERE. I do know what I’m talking about.

Okay, why am I ranting on here? Well, because I can. But most importantly is the fact that he said, “You just think you know it all because you’re a woman.”

Woah woah what?

This boy is kind of a chauvinist, and certainly a lady-killer. He’s gone out with two girls who live within 5 blocks of us (small town), including my other neighbor… He’s currently leading on both of them, even though he has a girlfriend… And he’s trying to have sex with me. He also doesn’t think that girls should hunt, fish, fix vehicles, and race. That being said, he and I race each other a lot – me on the mule, and him on his three-wheeler. Yeah, we’re crazy.

But okay, let’s back this up here: I’m the one who lived around there from ages 1-5, excluding a year. I’m the one who goes over there and spends about 2 months each year around there. I’m the one who could lead you out of there without any map. He was the newbie, never been down there before, and I’m supposed to believe that he knew what in the heck he was talking about? Either he was all wrong in where he was in the first place, and no where near my grandparents, or he was, and was probably closer to Port Huron than he thinks he was.

But no, He’s Right Because He’s The Man.

He wasn’t too much of a man when I punched him after that comment.

EDIT: Apparently, he told my Dad a completely different story... So he most likely didn't do what he said he did. Jerk. But, he's practically family, what can you do?

Can your mule really keep us with a three wheeler? I'm like whoa.

My best guy friend in high school could be a little like that sometimes. But he grew up. Once dude gets out into the world a bit more, he'll learn that anything he can do, girls can do better. (I'm kidding). Maybe you will help him see that he should at the very least keep his mouth shut when he wants to say stupid things like.

Haha, I just realized what it probably sounded like... My family has two vehicles I can drive: one is one of the carts that Austin Powers gets stuck in one of his movies, and takes forever to whip a U-ee (it's John Deere green, so we call it the Green Weenie)... And the other is very similar to a Deere Gator. That's the mule.

Hee haw. Hah.

(He should know better not to start a fight with me. I'm capable of whooping him.)

Go girl! Way to stand up for yourself and defend your actions. After all you were right and he had no reason to act the way he did... and then tell your dad a different story. What a poor loser.
