San Diego Fires

Tagged:

I live in National City, California, it isn't very far from San Diego (max 5 miles) and I've seen it all. On Sunday I saw the fire develope on the news, and I knew it was just like the fires in 2003. First I thought yes! no school!, then as we saw the fires come closer to eastern Chula Vista I'm like no thats my sisters house! I also thought 2 uncles are firefighters and my aunt lives in the worest burnt area. Now its been 4 days and everyone is safe yes my aunt and my sister and my uncles, and I didn't go to school, so everything worked out. I can't but think why has this happened again!? Didn't we learn the first time? What can we do now to prevent a 3rd time? All are great questions that I am looking for answers to. But I applaud San Diego, the spirit was amazing even in the face of losing our property they had hope for a better future, just waiting to be allowed into the evacuated areas to rebuild. For crying out loud San Diego cheered Barry Bonds when he broke the home run record here. Who can refute San Diego is not Americas Finest City?

San Diego totally rocks.

I'm happy you and your family are all safe and sound... and I offer support to those who are still unsure or need it.
