What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?

The most common question people ask you while you are in elementary and middle school.
Now, the common question they ask me during high school is: what college are you gonna go to? What are you gonna study? What career are you thinking about? What are you gonna do after high school? ect. ect.
i hate answering them because i know that they will ask me over and over again.
It's a very hard thing to do.
When I started middle school, I could not imagine how many careers there are out there. It is very hard to choose just one. I have changed my mind plenty of times. First I wanted to go into a health career. later i changed it to a technical career. i went back and forth with those two choices. Now that I am getting out of high school I know what my careers are and i also have backup careers just in case one does not work out.
I guess once you grow up or know what you want you look for your passion and take it. run with it.
There are people who stick with what they wanted to do since early in life. I don't know how they have found their passion so early in life. I guess people are different and contribute to society in different ways.

...and yet many people are still deciding "what they want to be when they grow up" during college..and even after college. It's a hard question to answer; for some it's harder than others.

Mind Control is Easier Than You Think

I think why this question is so frustrating is because there are some people who have no idea what they want to go into and end up (sometimes, most certainly not all the time) making a mess of their lives. A tip: keep answering with a smile like nobody's business! It worked for me!

Of all the questions only one answer has remained: musician. Still, two other professions have been added to that answer. Even in college you may change your mind. I decided about a month ago to go into education, after doing photo communications, which I had changed from criminal justice. Of course now I have an extra semester of college because I waited so long, but college is nothing compared to the rest of your life. I wouldn't stress out too much over finding definite answers to those questions just yet. How many 40 year olds do you know who are living the life they imagined at 20?

I'm gonna betch slap the dumb outta you

Hye, I'm going into music too! Music is my passion in life, and I have no idea what I would do without it.

I'd probably die a spiritual death without music.

I know - I would feel like the sun would never shine again, the rose would lose it's scent, bread would have no taste, water woud have no......wetness! lol yeah, music is very important!

I have thought about this question, and why is it that people think what you want to BE and what you want to DO are the same? I want to teach, so that is what I will do. I want to be happy. I want to be successful. I want to be fufilled and adventurous. I want to be many things. People need to look at it in a different way I think.

"what do I want to be when I grow up?" Is "what did I want to do when I was six or seven?" Because remembering what you wanted to do way back then will tap you into your true passion....

I remember being seven and insisting I was gonna grow up and live in a tree house...and look at me now..I've been thinking a lot about the types of things I wanted to do when i was little, such as being an artist, and living in a tree, etc, and they are much closer desires to my heart then when I started thinking with my head and decided, say, that I was going to be a photojournalist for a living.

Anyway, I get my point is "listen to your damned heart....it knows a lot!"

Love ya,
