Global Warming: Does it matter?

Tagged:  •

You've heard it's happening and you've heard it isn't, but either way, does it matter? Well, I'm not going to talk about whether it's happening--even Michael Crichton admits it's happening, though he believes it to be overexagerated, and relatively unimportant. This post isn't about that, though. If you'd like to read more about global warming I recommend:

Discovery Channel's very informative special/website:

Or to see the other side,

Micheal Crichton's State of Fear

but be sure to temper that with some sites like these:

My statement on this whole issue is:

It doesn't matter whether or not global warming is really a happening, or is an imperative issue for our generation or not. The panic over global warming is a good thing. Our environment needs the attention, we need more environmentally friendly cars, we need to stop burning down our rain forests, we need to stop pumping toxins into the air we breath.

So, if global warming isn't happening? Great. We can help keep the world cleaner for the next generations and cleaner for ourselves.

And if it is? We can help stop the terrible disasters that will come by keeping our world closer to it's natural balance.

Actually Global Warming does matter because the world is going to keep on getting warmer and then it will blow up,, I guess =)

I'm just saying we should act like its going to either way--Our environment could use the spotlight
