Well, now we have an interesting time comming upon us. Look back at those movies years ago, talking about machines (robots), the strange technology, powerfull energy sources. Seems like what they talk about in those movies is comming true. Yes, robots are taking jobs. Machines are becoming a part of this society, will it stop, probably not. Look at many car manufactures switching over to having machines assemble the cars. There is also a growing want for a "Personal Area Network" with people having thier phone work with a headset, and also communicate with thier computer without any wires. Its becoming the business view. Same thing with networking with computers, and high speed internet. Every year technology doubles in ability. I mean in the year 2035 maybe that movie I-Robot might be close to true, I dont think we are that far from having robots as our maids. Hmmmm, I would like not having to do dishes every day.

I agree. I was thinking the same thing about I-Robot. I think computers are already running human's lives. Take a look at "Match.com", "Myspace.com", people who would never have met know each other through computers. What do we know if the computers already have their own minds and already started re-organizing things for us?
And children are becoming more and more dependent on technology. What will the future look like when it's being run by people who have grown up with technology doing everything for them?
Not mentioning the children who grew up with technology, even me, an old school, already has been addicted and can't live without the machines. If there's no electricity, this world will not run properly nowadays, if at all.
I think...we're just that much closer to a society of lazy, stupid bums with no drive towards anything. Machines don't need to take over, we just need to give up and destroy ourselves with apathy and idiocy.
