I was heading to school this morning and had to get gas. It was $ 3.19 this morning. I am getting kind of aggrivated about things like this. Everything is so pricy these days it is almost hard to get by. Okay picture this, Lucy just got her paycheck, pretty good money. She gets gas, something to snack on and goes home. When she opens her mailbox she finds and electric and phone bill. THEY ARE SO HIGH THAT THEY TAKE ALL OF HER MONEY. Now she does not have enough money for groceries and gas to continue work this week. The worst thing, her hourly wage is $10.00. This i feel is a major problem. I think we should be able to afford our bills and still have some money to survive. From what i remember, $10 an hour is GREAT MONEY and you still cant get by. I have to say, that is terrible. This, i feel, is why this presidential election is so important. I think, our president needs to figure out something that will help the economy of lower and middle class. I know when i get older i would like to be able to afford gas, bills, groceries, and maybe even, TO TAKE MY GIRLFRIEND FOR A BITE TO EAT at least once in a year.

I think this is quite the exageration. With some proper budgiting, people can get by with any amount of money above the poverty line ($20,000), and those below have government aid.
$10/ hr is not really GREAT MONEY
This has been commented on before... The president is not the sole reason behind the problems with gas and its subsequent pricing. If you believe that the price of gas is too high, then talk to congress... they are the ones demanding a HUGE chunk of the price in taxes. Also... lets strive for other, alternative fuels... this isn't going to happen overnight. in the meantime, how about drilling in Alaska, and many other places in the US.
Dont bother telling me about the environement... I heard plenty of crap from those who claimed that Hurricane Katrina would create a environmental distaster in the Gulf... Didn't happen...
Safety and technology allows us to drill without impacting the globe irreversably. find other means, but until they are readily available, lets get the oil we arleady know about out and processed here...
