There is a pastor in Flordia who goes by the name of Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda. He is not one of those rare pastors who is dedicated to God and the betterment of their fellow man; nor is he one of those wonderful pastors who advocates for the poor and the needy. No, Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda is a bad man. He is an abomination. He claims to be god.

I am uncomfortable with organized religion as it is. I know that there are good elements to organized religion, but they seem outweighed by the potential for abuse, as illustrated by this maverick. He is claiming to be an incarnation of God, the new Jesus. His followers have been disrupting normal church services, breaking statues, and following his every word. This kind of abuse of power is frightening; some of his followers have recently obtained 666 tattoos, just like the one their pastor has.
This kind of dangerous cult frightens me. People who are willing to follow a man such as this one are scary people indeed. It is only a matter of time until they create the next Waco.
