Organic?

I constantly hear people complaining about organic products - how they are not all that. The arguments that people pose are generally concerning economics - how it is not practical to grow something in Chile and transport it to the US, how unfair it is for organic products to cost more than non-organic. Another big complaint is how organic produce favors big farmers mainly in California.

Personally, I buy organic all the time. I rarely eat non-organic meat, I think that organic fruit tastes better, it goes with my beliefs of what is healthy. However, that doesn't always seem to go with the idea of being world-conscious. That's when I started questioning if the arguments that people present are valid. After all, non-organic foods don't help out small farmers any more than organic produce - those are made in big corporations as well. Also, there will always be things that not everyone can afford and there shouldn't be a reason for those people to feel guilty about it. As of now it seems that the poorest (who grow the produce themselves) and the upper middle class and richer can afford organic food. Is that fair?

there really isnt that big of difference besides the price between non-organic and organic. sorry.

Well, in that case, people shouldn't complain about it. People who think there's a difference can eat organic, those who don't can just ignore organic.
