Birth at school

Recently there was a girl at my school that gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in the nurses office.  Someone who wasn't there would think that this girl was just not taken to the hospital quick enough. . . well they're wrong. This young woman was in complete denial about being pregnant. She was worried of what her peers would say and she was worried of what her parents would say so she just ignored the fact that she was even pregnant. She went into the nurses office complaining of cramps and went into the restroom to splash water on her face. The next thing everyone knew the girl was screaming at the top of her lungs, but no-one could get into the restroom because she had locked the door. after a few minutes the screaming ceased and the girl walked out of the bathroom like nothing had happened. The head nurse stepped just inside the restroom doorway to find a baby girl dumped into the toilet.

Personally, I don't see how anyone could do that. Who on earth would  be pregnant, deny the fact that she's pregnant, and then when she has the baby say that she had no idea she was pregnant to begin with. I honestly hope that this young girl gives this child up for adoption because that child deserves better than to be dumped and forgotten about.

I guess the fact that her stomach was twice the size of a normal's person just didn't cut it.

While it may be surprising, not all women grow that much when they get pregnant.

The girl should be put in jail. What if the baby had drowned? That was child endangerment

That girl needs to go to a mental health facility and THEN she needs to go to jail or something. That is absolutley INSANE. Who can even do that? What misfires in a person's brain that they don't even care they just gave birth?

that's ridiculous. was this girl on some kind of drugs or something? i mean seriously how do you not know that your pregnant.

Okay, I can understand not knowing you are pregnant for a few months, because my cousin just had a baby, and she didn't know she was pregnant until about 5 months into it. She was gaining weight, but she was getting fat everywhere, and we all thought she was just depressed because our grandma just died. Also, she was still getting her period, and that is not uncommon. But eventually, you find out before you give birth. That girl should be put in jail for dumping her baby in a toilet. though. That's just ridiculous.
And, um, if she knew, why didn't she just "take care of it." As soon as she founf out, all she needed to do was go to the women's clinic, and if it was early enough, she could have taken a little pill and it all would have gone away. But, you know, I think it's sad when girls are so afraid to tell their parents that they are pregnant and then they have the kid anyway.

I knew a girl who also didn't know for a while....twice. She had menstrual problems, and she thought she had just got fat with the first one up until about 5 months. She was kinda thick already, so it was hard to tell. The second time, she was on BC and didn't expect to have a period. One day, she pulled into a grocery store thinking she was having a stomachache, and had a baby about 15 minutes later.

As for the toilet part, that's terrible. Part of that is due to society's unacceptance of sex, unwed pregnancy, and abortion.

OKAY i think this is absolutly rediculous! SHE SHOULD BE IN A MENTAL HOSPITAL!!! What if that baby died!! They seriously didnt do anything to her? and let her keep the child? thats rediculous and discusting! How could someone be so low!

Thats really sad that she felt she had no one to tell and think there was no other option.

I come from an "urban" school and girls get pregnanmt all the time. I live in an "urban" area and girls get pregnant all the time. They all are aware of their pregnancy, and most of them endure the proper treatments and counseling. The girls at school see pregnancy as being cool, and the non-pregnant girls are looked at questionably. Pregnancy in my school is not an uncommon affair. Even seeing the same girl pregnant multiple times throughtout high school is common. Why are teenage girls becoming more and more irresponsible, and ignorant? Why are they bringing children into this world when they aren't more than children themselves? Your guess is as good as mine. My cousin has two friends, one just gave birth last week, and the other is four months pregnant. Do we question the influence of her pregnant friends on her? Heck yes! Friends getting pregnant has a very powerful influence on their friends. I just hope that she will be smart enough to know that teenage prenany is not the best choice. I know this guy at my school who stupidly got three girls pregnant. The first two girls had a miscarriage. The third one has not a miscarriage, and is living very healthy with their future child. He doesn't have time to commit to a child, and he knows it. He is already to pay child support. Now, if you know that you are not willing or able to be there for your child...why would you even bring the child into this world. One thing I will never understand is teenage pregnancy.
