Right now we are talking about birth control in science class so it gave me the idea to use this topic. Now I want to know some of you opinions on birth control do you think any of the options are morally wrong? The Roman Catholic Church does not believe in birth control at all whatsoever. They feel that you should not be doing that before marriage and once you are married you should not need it because you should be trying to have as many children as possible? Now I wonder how many of this belief actually follow this practice of no birth control but I cannot see why they would with all the risks.

We should already know that it is incredibly stupid not to use birth control unless you are in a relationship and both of you agree that you want to have a child. However, what happens in the case of birth control being against your religion and you not wanting diseases or pregnancy. As much as we want to sugarcoat it not very many people will have sex and do not always love each other or are married before they have it so you need to protect yourselves from the dangers so what should you do?

I also want to know do any of you have problems with the options of birth control. Since there are so many options I wondered if some people viewed the options as immoral or bad. Like there are behavioral, chemical, and physical ways to stop pregnancy. Does anyone have a problem with any of these ways like do you see it as wrong when I women injects herself with chemicals so that she will not get pregnant. For those of you that don’t know this is actually an option. Or do you consider it wrong when men get vasectomies or women get their tubes tied for whatever reason?

What are you opinions? Also what do you think about planned parenthoods actions in all of this? Do you agree with birth control? Do you want to know more about the kinds of birth control because I know too many to write in this blog? If you are Roman Catholic or just want to voice you opinions about it where do you stand on the church being against birth control?

I am currently taking the pill, not only because I am not ready to support a family of my own, but also because of the other benefits as well. There are certain types of cancer that don't affect as many of the women who are taking birth control. The risk of heart disease and stroke increases, but I live a healthy lifestyle otherwise and do not smoke, therefore I don't feel as threatened by that at this current point in my life. Birthcontrol is being responsible. As you said, many people having sex are not married and are not willing to wait until they are. Like it or not, most of society is not conforming to that more any longer. As for women getting a tubal litigation or men getting vasectomies, it is a reasonable thing for someone who is done having children, maybe has all they know they can support, or has decided after genetic counseling that the risk of having a child with a genetic defect is too much for them. Once you hit a certain age, birthcontrol pills starts to have more risks than benefits, and the permanent fix, may be the best fix.
