Secret Admission: I actually enjoy FaceBook. As I posted before, I think there's a lot that's wrong with it. I don't think it provides a valid way of socializing. But at the same time:
1.) Photos of friends are always fun, and it's great to literally "see" what people are up to, especially friends who are at far-away schools.
2.) It provides another medium for friends to communicate. If a friendship was entirely maintained through FaceBook, I'd question the quality of that friendship. But to be able to drop by and post an inside joke or good wishes on someone's "wall" ... well, it's just another way to stay in touch.
3.) Finally, it's organized. And for this anal retentive "everything in a neat row" girl, anything that's neatly organized pleases me!
So am I a hypocrit? Maybe. But as much as I worry about where we are headed as a society if relationships become so artificially maintained, perhaps it says something about today's generation that we're able to find so many different ways to communicate and socialize. Human connections are vital to promoting peace, prosperity, and a better future, and teens today are becoming communication wizards!

Time to fess up.. I'm a Facebook junkie. Sure, there are some who add everybody and their mama in order to make themselves appear "popular," but for me? I use it to keep in touch with college friends and friends at other high schools. And tagging pictures is just fun. :)
