GM foods or genetically modified foods like Bt corn which means simply corn that is chemically enhanced to grow better and in greater supply than normal corn. However the question here is are GM foods really that bad?
There are two sides to this controversy first the opposed side believes that messing with food is bad it could lead to cancer, it is against some people’s religion, and they believe that messing with food does not make it better that it only give a chance for something else to go wrong. These are just a few of the arguments not all of them. Also some think that the seed companies are looking for a way to exploit their customers. This last argument I personally do not agree with. The seed business is hard customers buy seeds once and never need them again therefore by creating this genetically modified seed that only lasts for one season of planting that is to say the corn will be a normal seed the second time around is just their way of getting repeated business and making money. Sometimes people will even claim that it might taste different. It has been protested when put on the shelves of grocery stores in some countries.
However, the other side of the argument for pro is that do these people really know what they are fighting for? For one reason in a taste test of genetically modified milk and regular no one could tell the difference because they were only giving more of a chemical that was already naturally in the cow. Genetic modification is just man’s way of influencing natural selection more drastically. For instance instead of mating cows that have the highest milk yield they give cows chemicals they already have in greater supply to make their milk yield greater. Also, the arguments about cancer and other diseases resulting GM food is much better than the alternative of using pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides which are proven to cause cancer besides that GM foods have never been shown to promote or cause cancer.
So what do you think are you on the pro or con side of this fight? Is it right to use genetically modified foods? Think what genetically modified foods might mean more food to help fight against world hunger? (Yes, I know that is not the entire problem with world hunger but that is a topic for another time) What are your opinions? What should we do about GM food permit them in the stores or not? If you are opposed to GM foods why? If not why?

1) You lack a catchy title and will not get many reads. Bio- and Genetic Engineering interest me, so I wanted your take on the matter.
2) You have offered no opinion. You offer a crapy point of view for people against "frankenfood." You display obvious bias towards the genetic modification of food.
3) You seem to be hunting for opinions and that typically won't get you many comments.

As terrible as it sounds I do not care how many people read this if they so they if they don't they don't this is just an opportunity to voice my opinion. I lack a catchy title just because I choose to state things as the way they are. My opinion is in my bias and if I don't get comments so what. It is also biased b/c it is a blog and most blogs are.

My problem with those opposed to GM food on any level is that it can save lives. Sure, we have a ton of food here in America, but there are starving people in developing countries, and the fact of the mater is that GM food has ALREADY saved BILLIONS of lives, and the guy who discovered the process won the Nobel Peace Prize because... IT SAVES LIVES!
