The Older I get the More Liberal and Conservative I Become

As I grow I realize that more and more often things are not just left and right, black and white, etc. I see the many different perspectives, but this means different over-all opinions. Is this normal? Do you all find the same thing?
Take Walmart for instance, Walmart gets its things from China and Indonesia, putting out tons of factories and workers alike. However, Walmart also employs a ton of workers in their service industry (my mother being one of them, as she is a casher) and allows for those workers to have life insurance, health insurance, and respectable, almost living, wages. Also, by allowing for the jobs to go over seas, it creates opportunities for the Chinese and Indonese (spelling) to industrialize, and thus, eventually (hopefully) create workers unions, recognize poor environmental and work conditions, and over all improve their society with laws and regulations, the same process America went through in the late 1800s and Early 1900s....
Or how about the issue of marriage? I have changed so much on that too!
Marriage is a union that brings together too people, should it be between a man and a woman, or should it be open? As a child, raised by a Catholic Mother and a Homophobic Native American Father, I would have told you no, Civil Unions, okay, Marriage , no. But as I grow older, and am married myself, and aquant myself with other individuals of different lifestyles, I have to say, I think marriage should unite whoever is deeply in love and feels the need to be united, especially if they are living together, sharing responsibility, and continuing their life as partners. I have seen loved ones be unable to have joint insurance, enter into hospitals, and own a home together. Over all this is very sad, and whether or not I believe the lifestyle is"right" should it be an ethical moral judgement that is rooted in christianity to decide these things? I wonder....
As you can see, for so long I have contemplated these issues, but I am still confused. I believe it is a great thing that I think so deeply.... what do you think of issues such as this? Do you see black and white, right and wrong? why and how so? Do you not? Did you think this way when you were a young teenager, or are you coming into it now, that you are 17+ (im 20).

I don't think that my views have changed per say, but im begining to realize what they are now that im getting older. Breaking away from what my parents believe and making my own decisions on what i believe is right.

Yea, I see what you're saying. I feel that I have matured a lot with my views. But I mean I didn't turn more into a liberal. The trend usually is you start off liberal then as you grow older you're like being liberal is just an outlandish idea.(not that I feel this way currently) ;)

As I have gotten older, my views have definately changed. I realize that the world isn't a happy smiley place. It is nice to think of a better world for other people, but at the same time, I feel like as a young person I need to ensure my life will be good before I can worry about others. I have become more and more fiscally conservative over the years.
