okay...this really ticks me off!

I feel like a person should have the right to listen to, enjoy, sing, and share any genre, form, or volume of music that they choose. What is the deal with people hating on each other about what kind of music one or they other listens to. The music a person listens to depends on experiences and how they can relate or simply, what sounds best; maybe even music their parents listened to. No matter what the case, the music wars must come to an end. I love all types of music; I am very open-minded and will listen to almost everything. In some cases, I absolutely despise what someone else is listening to, but why make a big deal out of it? Some people even go so far as to make a huge arguement about how their band rocks and mine flat out sucks. Of course, there is nothing you can say back to a person so determined to put your favorites down, so backing out is usually best. Now, this is just my experience, but I'd like to know how others feel about it and whether or not you think people have the right to attack someone's favorite song, music, band, or genre. If you like one kind of sound and you are going to stick to it no matter what, that's fine with me, but leave me be about what I like and stop trying to force your narrow minded views on me.

The way we judge others about their musical preferences is just a refelction of our society as a whole. We judge each other on everything. And when it comes to things like skin color, weight, religion, and income, this judgment is not only an infringement on our rights, but it also destroys many, many lives.
We need to cut it out and mind our own business. When we're constantly looking around and judging other people, we subconciously develop a sort of social ideology that the whole public shares. This ideology generates prejudices and preferences that have plagued our country for centuries.
Music is an amazing thing, and I hate to see it wedged into our usual, cramped judgments, and used as a weapon for judging others.
We all have a right to our own music preferences.
