What is it that drives us to endlessly strive to find that one true love? Why do we spend so much of our lives in order to find that one beautiful and wonderful moment of true and everlasting love?!
The reason why we do this, is because it's exactly the one thing that makes us human. To love, to live, to hope, to believe, to trust in something else above and beyond ourselves. The fact that we, as humans, can live entires lifetimes without the slightest touch of divinity, but still be able to live a life that constantly hopes for that divinity, is the one beautiful and wonderful gift of being a human.
Humans are wonderful and beautiful creatures. We can spend whole lifetimes hoping for something that will never come into our lives. We will spend lifetimes hoping for love, comfort, affection, understanding, and true love. We will spend every last energy we have to find the true love that most people never find. But that's exactly what makes human beings so beautiful. We hope for the impossible; we strive for the improbable; we yearn for the divine. We spend our entire lives hoping to find that one moment that defines our entire existence; that one moment that explains everything we've ever struggled through; that one moment that makes everything as clear as the morning sun.

What if I don't spend much of my time looking for this "one, true love?" Does that make me less human?
There is no such thing as finding love, love is not to be found!
Love is not limited to ONE, the main reason why so many are struggling and dwelling in hope!
The only thing which reflects “Human” is compassion, many seem to lack this aced!
Not to get in touch with divinity is typical for all who linger in a state of hope.

Don't misunderstand. That "one true love" humans search for.....it doesn't have to be a human being at all. People search for that one love in all kinds of places; the love of work, the love of success, the love of religion, the love of politics, the love of life, whatever it may be. Every human is searching for SOMETHING, no matter how little or invisible it may seem to be; even if you're searching for nothing, that's still something. And, sure, more often than not love is not limited to ONE; however, that search IS one, one which epitomizes the very thing that makes us humans.....the ability to question, the ability to search, the ability to yearn and hope and strive and look for things outside of ourselves. And the point is not to actually get in touch with divinity; the searching of it is the worthier part.
People would be better off if they would start looking inside of themselves, abundance of love s to be found within!

I agree with you, that search is sometime impossible yet we search for it no matter what
