In my last post I made the sound argument that Jesus was a real man who was crucified. This alone means nothing however. It does not prove that Jesus is God. To prove that Jesus is God I, will show that he did something that only God can do. I need to prove that Jesus survived death. The resurrection is the capstone in all of Christian belief.
The Apostle Paul Wrote this in his first letters to the Church in Corinth in the late winter or early Spring of the year 56 AD.
13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;
14andif Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
15Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
16For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;
17and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.
18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
You see that if there is no resurrection then Jesus cannot be God because God does not die. If there is no resurrection then there is no salvation because death has not been defeated. If there is no resurrection then anyone who calls Jesus God is a liar, and they waist their lives.
But, if Jesus did rise from the dead then he is God , and he did defeat death, and every person who calls him God is proclaiming a great truth. The resurrection is one of the most documented and most miraculous of God's wonders. In my next posts I will be showing you the evidence and documentation of this feet.

I don't see how this proves anything. Like he said, the dead cannot be raised. Paul basically just said that because the dead cannot be raised, it would be blasphemy to say that God would raise someone from the dead. He says that if the dead cannont be raised, then Christ cannot be raised. Now you can interpret what he said a number of ways, so it is open to interpretation and has not weight.
It seems to me that he says that either Christ died or the Christ really didn't die after all, and that the whole Christian religion is based off a fallacy.
I do find it interesting that Paul says that death is an enemy. Funny when you take into account the he believe in an afterlife.
And this proves what? Your last post was not even that good, and now you give us this crap about how the Bible says Jesus is God. Way to do what every other Christian on this site already does. You didn't advance anyone's understanding with this post.
One short sleepe past wee wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.
-John Donne
I think you need to read my post again. The only thing point this article goes at any length to prove is that the resurrection is central is the central issue to whether or not Jesus is the truth. I didn't really argue in this post that he is God, I just let everyone know that I will be arguing that later on. This post is framing where I will begin tomorrow.
Also if death were defeated that would mean there is eternal life.
Paul began with saying "But IF there is no resurrection of the dead..." (emphasis Added)
His whole writing is a technique in writing where you take a critical look at the alternative of what you are arguing to make your point.
What is this supposed to be saying? I think that everyone knows that Christians believe the Resurrection of Christ to be true. All you're saying is that if it isn't true, then Christianity is false.

"That is not dead which can eternal lie / And with strange aeons even death may die."
H. P. Lovecraft
Pretty much :)
The meat of the my argument comes tomorrow
