In some relationships that we have we could say that it got a little physical. When does a little physical become bruises, broken legs or arms, black eyes, etc. This occurs when your boyfriend/girlfriend gets mad over little things that you do. Maybe, when you stay gone just a little to long. Most physical abuse happens in the heat of an argument. You want to go out with your friends, he doesn't like your friends so he wants you to stay home;while he goes out with his friends. You begin to walk out the door, he slam it and pushes you into the wall. You think he is playing ,but then he slaps you across the face. He tells you to stay home and he walks out the door with your keys and his. What is your next move? GET THE HELL OUT! Don't try to pack everything, get most of all your things contact a family member and tell them to come get you. If he calls, the house tell him its over, and get a police officer to go with you to get the rest of your belongings. This doesn't work in all cases, this might cause stalking, that is when you notify the police get somebody to watch the house , or set him up so the police can catch him in the act.

Thanks for speaking out. Too many girls think that he really loves them and they should just do what he wants but that is such a lie! If he EVER hurts you get out before it is too late!
I'm doing my senior project on domestic violence because my mom was a victim of it since my dad beat her. The statistics are very scary. Girls need to get out of abusive relationships and FAST! I also did a speech kind of about that topic last year at my school's Anti-Defamation League assembly. I just hope that I could have touched and/or helped at least one person who was in that audience.
Its so hard to get out of a bad relationship, mainly the fear of what they'll do to you before someone comes to pick you up or to find you gathering a few of your items. I was in an abusive relationship for over a year, it didn't just end after I got out, the emotional scars are still with me and that was a while ago.
I understand that the pain and the memories will never go away , but the thing is they wont go away because they are there to remind you that even though he did this to you you still came out as the stronger person even if he didn't go to jail.
