Does anyone else's school use the filter Websense?
We've got it at my school, and it's a pain. I can't go to this site unless I use a proxy, because it's catagorized as "Advocacy groups".
What does the school gain by filtering everything mildly controversial? They're suppose to be educating us, not sheltering us from the outside world.
Everything that we logically shouldn't be looking at is mentioned in the use policy that we all have to sign at the beginning of the year. If we violate that, it should be their responsibility to track it.
Unfortunately, they're just not that smart.

So what proxy service are you using? Most of the ones I use are blocked by Websense.
