Perfection

The sound of your voice made me shiver,
So calm - so sweet - and oh so deep,
I knew it would be a night to remember,
From the way that chill fell from my neck to my feet,

You smelled so good I felt like I could float,
Your skin was so soft against my neck,
To my surprise I began to choke,
This is definately a night that I won't forget,

You looked me in the eyes with a forgiving face,
Kicking - gasping - and trying to plead,
All the while I was in a devastating place,
Thoughts in my head of whether you ever really loved me,

How could you do this I began to wonder,
Hoping you'd eventually let me be,
I felt myself drift into a slumber,
I now know that you could've never loved me,

Everything you told me was nothing but lies,
Things were so well - it was too good to be true,
Seems I'm the only one who heard my cries,
It was all pretend, an act, because it was never the truth,

I'll never know what possessed you to do what you did,
I want to forgive you but all I feel is pain,
I can't imagine how you killed the mother of your unborn kid,
But I can't seem to take back all my love you once gained,

I loved you with my all but it wasn't enough,
To learn that you never loved me back - I so much rue,
To give you your first child must've been too much,
Nothing's ever perfect and I learned that from you

This is a seriously creepy, disturbing, and through-provoking poem.

Some of it is very close to plagiarized by various authors though - you might want to try running it through filters because at least one line is word-for-word the same as another's. I'm sure that's not intentional - it's very easy to do this accidentally - but just the same you might want to use your resources and change it up a bit.

this sounds very personal.
personal poems seem to be a lot better than most.
