Procrastination & Education -- A Bad Mix

Well, I have seen this website about twice now. And each time I have seen it I thought about trying the website, yet, I never really got around to it.

I woke up in the middle of the night and sat down at my laptop. I usually sleep through the night, but I am slightly anxious for class today because I have a paper due and I have a nice amount of writer's block stacked up against me.

For some reason this course I am taking right now I keep seeming like an idiot in. Even though other students tell me they think I am doing a good job I feel like the teacher thinks I am an idiot. I know that my teacher doesn't truly, but whenever I sit in the class I feel like an idiot.

Hopefully I get this thing written already! I have sat down so many times and all my freewrites have seemed to go nowhere. I have read my peer reviews for my thesis, which are created off of promt choices, and they have been all the more discouraging.

I just wish I could get excited over what I was writing. I know that when I am passionate about my topic I can get a lot of good things out. I just need to somehow find that in this piece.

Should I just sit down and write? Lately everything has seemed discouraging because everytime I try all I see are my mistakes. I hope everyone sees the great amount of effort I am putting in here.

I had more to add to that comment, I accidentally clicked enter before I was done.

If you think the teacher doesn't like you or something, or thinks you're stupid, just confront him/her about it. Although when I did that once, they told me I was too obnoxious.
So either way, it's a lose-lose situation, I think.
Good luck with your writing.

I would suggest writing your paper in incrimants, because then you don't get overwhelmed and bored by writing too much at a time. I would also suggest talking to your teacher about your papers, that way you can get his/her imput, which, when it comes down to it, is the most important (gradewise).

Sometimes I begin writing two papers. And which ever one I can flow with more, I go with that one. I've been able to write stronger papers that way, like if I'm not sure what topic to pick.

procrastination can be good if you work well under pressure. but then again, i hardly ever revise when i have an hour to write something. not that i have the choice.
