titanic and great

Literally, the word "Titanic" implies the possession of extraordinary physical strength, size, power, scope and impressiveness.
The British luxury liner, Titanic was so named in view of this. It had a gross weight of 46,000 tons an d belonged to the White Star Line.
On its maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City in the United states struck an iceberg about 153 km (about 95 miles) south of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland just before midnight on April 14, 1912. Of the more than 2220 persons aboard, about 1513 died, including the American millionaires John Jacob Astor, Benjamin Guggenheim, and Isidor Straus.
The Titanic Disaster became one of the worst maritime disasters in history. The ship had been proclaimed unsinkable because of its 16 watertight compartments. Nevertheless, the iceberg sufficiently damaged the Titanic to make it sink in less than three hours. Subsequent investigations found that the ship had been steaming too fast in dangerous waters, that the captain had ignored radio transmissions warning of ice, that lifeboat space had been provided for only about half of the passengers and crew, and that the Californian ship, close to the scene, had not come to the rescue because its radio operator was off duty and asleep. These findings led to many reforms, such as lifeboat space for every person on a ship, lifeboat drills, the maintenance of a full-time radio watch while at sea, and an international ice patrol.

Titanic is a motion picture drama released in 1997 about the plummeting of this luxury liner during its initial transatlantic expedition. This box-office hit based on this factual story won eleven Academy Awards in 1997, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Film Editing and four Golden Globe awards the following year. The young adventurer and voyager Jack Dawson (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) had won a third-class ticket on the extravagant and opulent liner in a poker game. While aboard, he saved Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) from killing herself and although she was already betrothed to an exceptionally wealthy man (Billy Zane), the two fell in love. The ship hit an iceberg and sank rapidly because of a major flaw and imperfection in its design. Over a thousand people died in the wreckage, including Dawson. This story was re-told in the movie via a series of flashbacks by the 101-year-old Bukater played by Gloria Stuart as she revisits the site of the famous disaster. This blockbuster cost more than $200 million to make and earned more than $530 million in the United States during the first year of its release. Renowned and ace American director James Cameron directed this fascinating epic.
The director’s brother Mike Cameron and Panavision invented a special underwater camera mechanism capable of withstanding the high atmospheric pressure at the bottom of the ocean, so the director could get footage shot inside the actual Titanic.
The filmmakers built a 90-percent-to-scale model of the ship for this movie. It took nine months to shoot the movie, during which the cost of the movie exceeded the budget by more than $100 million.
There are other motion pictures e.g. A night to remember (1958), Cavalcade (1932) and Titanic (1953), which had all been released order about the titanic disaster but this particular one is different and unique.
The film, Titanic is a classic representation of and reflection of the truly dynamic and constantly revolving American film industry, the Hollywood. It displays characteristic genre and unique mastery of the interaction between the artistes performing, the location involved and the theme of the movie.
It possesses hyper-excellent graphics with which the pictures of the movie are embodied.
The soundtracks of the movie are distinctly therapeutic, passion-filled and delightful to the human mind. Amongst the many hit songs is its very popular superior-branded and world-renowned theme song," my heart will go” on composed by James Harner and Will Jennings and was performed by singer, Celine Dion.
The film, Titanic took about years to bring to realization. This had to be in order to cater for the total needs of this epic and enthralling movie. It brought the best out of the many diverse actors who participated and thereby obtained fame, popularity and acclaim through this avenue.
The Hollywood-hit featured and analyzed the elements of unbiased and non-status based love that was experienced between Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater.
It showed greater profundity when jack risks his life and eventually died in order to save.
Love, which is a non-visual form of human nature is apparently visualized and denoted by the characteristic expressions of the beings/ individuals involved.
The movie also reveals what a slight fault or defect could cause amidst an otherwise perfect structure, setting or environment.
On the contrary, the actualization of the movie showed what a great package, vigorous production and a great sense of confidence coupled with efficient planning void of impeccable errors one could achieve and complete an otherwise unachievable and tasky project of such magnitude as the titanic blockbuster.
These and many more have definitely made Titanic my favoured and most regarded film.
Also, irrespective and in spite of the mood or tone of my personality, the time and period of the day and the diverse classes of individuals it could accommodate as its audience due to the fantastic, delightful, informative and entertaining savories it provides.
