A Desire for World peace

I was sitting here thinking about what to write to stimulate some thinking and discussion and I remembered the movie Miss Congeniality. I thought of the line from the movie where Sandra Bullock says " I do want world peace".It is just a cute movie, but that is what we all would like deep down inside. Okay not everyone, but the majority of us could deal with that.
In a perfect world there would be world peace and no diseases. However this is not a perfect world. Different cultures have different world views, therefore world peace is not attainable. If we tried to make world peace some group somewhere would say, "You can't impose your values on us. What's right for one is not right for all." Another reason world peace cannot happen. The world decided long ago that there are no absolutes. So again how can world peace come about? It can't.
