The judge denied Craig's request to reverse his guilty plea but Senator Craig decided to stay in the office anyway. Now, the question is will Craig's decision to not resign hurt the Republicans?
Honestly, this senator is desperate to reclaim his reputation. I guess he hates homosexuals so much that he doesn't want to end his term with people calling him gay and stuff. Craig chose to be in the Senate to also find "additional legal options" for his guilty plead. This tragic event would have ended if he would resign and disappear. Then this wouldn't become a distraction to the Republican party.
I wonder what Idaho people think about it. Do they still support Craig even after what happened? I have nothing against Senator Craig really. But I'm just sick of hearing about him trying to prove his innocence. He shouldn't have pleaded guilty in the first place. If you really didn't know anything wrong, taking things to court in front of the public would be more acceptable. And the court will definitely take your side if you are "innocence" and the evidence is lacking.
Craig is unfortunately not letting his fame die down without a good ending. I'm having a feeling that his party might turn against him even if the Republican loose the white house to the Democrats. It's still hard to see how it would affect the Presidential election in the long run though. Hopefully, people can still remember some of the good things Senator Craig did for their state. I find it really common for citizens to jump into a conclusion when they hear a scandal involving a politician they trust.
Bottom line is, try to behave yourself. Think before you act. Remember, you'll always be protected by the law if you've done nothing wrong. Don't say anything if you get arrested! Ask for a lawyer right away. Policemen can do that psychology method on you to plead guilty like they did to Craig.

Isn't it interesting how the republicans who are against homosexual rights are the people who are always caught in some illicit homosexual activity? (Just for the record I'm not republican or democratic, I just want what's best for the world-and the environmental movement is definitely close to the zenith of my list). People need to practice what they preach and, yes, it undeniably would be great if this whole Craig scandal just disappeared. It's really not that big of a deal. So what if he did some sexual hand movement under the stall. Wouldn't it be better if more time and resources were spent on the real culprits such as pedophiles?
Yes, it surprises me too that republicans get caught doing something that they're strongly against. Look at Mark Folley for example. It's really sad. And I agree! More time and resources should be spent on other things. We're paying too much attention to our politicians.
