Nowadays, in the develped countries,most of the people oown computers or laptops and rely on them on work,study,entertainments and
communications.People can accomplished so many things through the internets but as the internets and websites become more advanced in variety of
services, some socialproblems arise.
Whenever I flip through the Chinese newspaper, what appeared in front of my eyes are frequently "teenage girl got raped when going out with a guy she
met through the internet" or " A high school student accused a internet guy sexual harrasing her when they meet". Obviously, date with strangers from the
internet chatrooms or messengers can be dangerous. Clearly, people can fake everything about themselfs on the internet for examples, age,interests,
personalities and appearance. When these people go online, they have the ability to creat an illusion to the people they talk to and even persuade them to
go out for date. When the people they talked to agreed, it might be the start of the whole issue of raping. There was a girl in Taiwan who agreed to meet
with the guy she meet in the internet because he sounds gentle,kind,good looking and more inportantly the two of them shared the same interests
according to her sayign from the newspaper. However, this girl end up being raped by the guy in the KTV. When the police officers asked her parents if they
knew her daughter was going to meet the guy and they answered ,"We don't even know she's talking to strangers on the internet chatroom and on that day
she just told us she's going out with her friends". This statement showed that some parents are unaware of what their children do on the internet and the
children are unaware of the dangers to meet with some "strangers".
This world we are living in is not safe at all so people should do the best to protect thenself.
