Today is such a wonderful day.
I mean, English was boring as usual. We finished reading Macbeth and I have decided that Shakespeare was a crazy playwright. I mean, dude, there is so much hidden meaning behind half the stuff in plays. It's trippy, but I must admit it. I love it.
Also, the Acrobats came in today. I have worked all year long on these art and literary magazines for the school. Dealing with teachers, layouts, computers, my staff, and lack of submissions to too many submissions to missed deadlines to extending the book by 12 pages and having to only order 200 books, 300 less than last year. But in the end it was totally worth it. I mean they are beautiful and I love them to death. Audra did such a wonderful job on graphics and Sean helped so much with making this book. I feel like my hardwork paid off. dude. They are beautiful.
Calculus consisted of me hanging out in the publication room and the Honors Junior English class which was awesome and amazing. I saw a rap about Grapes of Wrath done to the beat of "Straight outta Compton." It was intelligent and great.
Yearbook consisted of us putting a sticker in every book of this girl who didn't give us her senior picture, but her mom paid to have 2000 stickers made of her senior picture with her name typed in the right font so that we can put it in each and every damn yearbook that came. It sucks cause the pictures are hard to pull apart and then it makes our book look bad and blah. Then half the books have problems with the covers. Two of the books are mising 12 pages out of the senior section and one book was printed backward.
Yet, even with that, I am soo happy. I have some of the most wonderful friends in the world and the most wonderful boyfriend.
Dinner with my boy. Ice cream with two of my closest friends. A wake up call from my friends in Florida telling me that they wanted to be the first ones to with me a happy birthday. A phone call during yearbook from my friends in Florida telling me that they wanted to tell me happy birthday when I was awake and somewhat coherent. Multiple text messages and phone calls from my friends telling me happy birthday. Just knowing that people remembered, and didn't make a big deal out of it is all I ever wanted. It makes up for the fact that my mom left.
I'm out to spend more time with my boy.
