Quite Frankly, my dear, I DO give a damn (Not Finished, yo)

I'm a libra. I believe in justice and balancing the proverbial scales. I'm idealistic, sociable, fair, even minded, a debater and equalitarian. Muhatma Gandhi was a libra, too. (And Oscar Wilde!) I may have repeated myself a few times there. I'm a snake. I'm compassionate and insightful. Martin Luther King Jr. was a snake too. (And Orprah!) I was born on Friday, so I'm supposed to be "loving and giving". So, according to the stars, chinese zodiac and Mother Goose, I should be a pretty caring person who gives a damn about the problems of the world today.

And it seems the planets have alligned! I do care! Was astrology right (for once)? The world may never know.

My heart goes out to victims of genocide too often to count. I feel as though there is no more heart to give because of how much genocide and pain there is in the world.

You see the mass murder of the Jewish people in the Holocause and have to stop and wonder how does this all keep going? Why aren't we learning from ourselves? We already lost 1/3 of the Jewish world population, do we have to lose 2/3 of the 6 billion people in the world in order to finally stop killing each other?

Rwanda is a horrific example of our arrogance and ignorance. According to We Wish to Inform You that Tomorrow We Will Be Killed With our Children the Rwandan Tutsi's were being killed at 5 and a half people per minute. The rate of that genocide exceeded that of the holocaust, and this was all with primative instruments of death like machetes.

Where are the people who care? Where were they during these awful time periods? Paul
