Is Tea, Fattening?

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

Hi, everybody! Is drinking Tea, fattening? Because I'm confused about this because this Morning at 8:06 AM, I got on my scale and it said that I weighed 151 lbs. Then, I happened to get on the scale again because before 11 AM, I felt like I lost weight again; so at a little past 11 AM, I went on the scale again and it said that I gained weight because I'm at 158 lbs. and after Breakfast, I started drinking Tea again. So, is drinking Tea, fattening? Because I read on a website that it wasn't; but obviously, the scale says that it is. Therefore if it isn't, then can someone please explain why I weighed 151 lbs, this Morning, but I don't now? Because I'm confused as to why this happened, especially since I've known that Tea isn't fattening.

First of all..I'm sure that it's nearly impossible to gain 7 pounds in one day, even if you try really hard... and it looks like you weren't trying to gain weight.
If you actually did gain weight in the course of the day, it was probably whatever your body was digesting at that time, and maybe partly it was the tea...but I doubt it. How much tea did you drink? a pound? It seems wrong. I think what's going on here is that your scale is broken. What kind of scale do you have?

Weighing yourself that frequently during the day is inconclusive. Differences in what you may have been wearing, what you just, whether you just took a shower or not will affect how much you weigh. And no, tea isn't fasttening, it's mostly water!

Your weight will fluctuate during the day, and if you weigh yourself right before or right after eating, of course, your weight won't be exactly the same as before. Most times, its usually your water weight that changes so the number on the scale changes. Don't worry about it. Tea is healthy for you, but if you add milk or creamer in it, beware, it could affect your weight if you drink too much of it over a period of time. (Those two components could be extra calories you don't need.) But please, don't obssess over your weight. Just aim for being healthy. I hope this comments helps.
