I hope people would read this to learn about Pakistan and Muslim countries, in general. We are not places where freedom of expression and art, is suffocated or where people don't care enough to protest against the power of their government.
People who don't know, make these uneducated remarks about "Islamist" countries and the lack of free expression or whatever it is they call it. No, we have free expression-- it's just those in power who always try to stifle it and try to keep themself in power against the wishes of their public.
Considering I am from Pakistan...I keep up on the news. Especially the controversial stuff.
This blog/article is about Pakistan's first national art gallery and I came across this blog, which was written on Monday by someone who has actually visited the gallery. I was browsing through the headlines in the South Asia and Central Asia section of MSNbc online this morning and so yeah, this is the result of my lack of interest in chemistry.
I am supposed to be studying for my first chem exam but I can't seem to focus...so here is another thing that should open people's eyes about Pakistan.

Also, I will come back and add more about how I feel about this whole thing with the nudes and the Art gallery in general.
I should just say I am ecstatic because well I am from Islamabad (sort of the outskirts) So when I go back, I am definitely visiting.
PS---There are tons of Private art galleries in Pakistan but this is the first National one and it took an extremely long time being built.
