You can view the photo of the twin babies that include one white twin and one black twin, in the attached section at the bottom of this post.
Maybe some of you have already seen this story, but when I first saw this I thought it was the most amazing thing ever. These twin baby girls Remee (the fair skinned twin) and Kian (the darker skinned twin) were born to both mixed race parents. Their parents each have a white mom and a black dad. Experts say that the odds of this situation occurring are about a million to one. To get scientific, they say that a sperm containing all white genes fused with an egg containing all white genes, and contrarily, another sperm containing all-black genes fused with another egg containing all black genes. This makes them fraternal twins.
Skin color aside, having fraternal twins of the same sex seems rare to me also. But they are very beautiful babies. The mother of the twins, Kylie said that her mother told her the twins would eventually become the same color. But as time passed she said Remee became lighter and Kian became darker. So it seems that this is permanent. They have twins of different races.

That is so amazing, and they are so cute too.
They're so cute.. and I hope that helps people who still discriminate understand that race is not a choice.
Wow, that's really amazing.
race is not a choice? is it a sin to be anything other than white?
What does that mean?
I've never in my life heard anyone say race was a choice. O.o
That is amazing. They are so adorable.
this is truly an amazing story and they are both very beautiful
I heard the story, but I didn't see them until now. It is really a rare case.
It's kind of cute, kind of odd.
I wonder what degree of differences and/or difficulties they will experience while growing up. Like what friends they will end up hanging out with. Or if people will treat them differently because they are of different races.
Your comment on fraternal twins of the same sex being rare...
My girlfriend is a fraternal twin of the same sex, and she's telling me that from all of her research growing up, opposite-sex fraternal twins only come out of like 1 in 14 or 15 twin births. Fraternal twin births occur more often than identical twins. The chances of identical twins is one in 285.
Sorry. That comment was not based on any sound scientific evidence. Just on observances. Of the fraternal twins that I have known or seen, none have been of the same sex.
That is really cool and they are adorable!
thats because they might have had two father just out teh post on did on that
They are absolutly edible. SO Adorable! That is really neat, thanks for sharing!
At this very moment, somewhere a committee is deciding your life, only you weren't invited
They will be fine as long and they are really adorable.
That is going to be awesome when they grow up! Imagine all the heads exploding when they try to explain that they are actually twins! :-&
My aunt married an African American man, and his nephew and my brother were in the same break dancing troupe. They loved telling people they were cousins! As soon as people got over the shock of a white eight-year-old breakdancing with a bunch of black teenagers, they'd throw "Yeah, and we're cousins" at them! We didn't grow up in the most racially sensitive town. It was funny.
Also, the girl on the left looks EXACTLY like my neighbor down the hall. Weird. I mean EXACTLY.
