I have always been perplexed about the subject of abortion. I really don't know why it is even an issue to discuss. We as a people all agree that life is precious and killing people, especially children, is not right. People are constantly debating whether or not an fetus should be considered a human being. If it is not a human being, then what is it? We all know that a great number of people who have abortions should not be having children, or sex, in the first place. However, is killing children the answer to making life easier for us? Most people use abortion to make their lives easier, they weren't raped, and they aren't in physical danger. I know their are cases where that is true, but I am speaking of the majority of people who do it so they don't shame their families. It would be much more respectable for these people to have the baby and give it up for adoption to a family that can't have children. I have two older sisters that have had problems. One got pregnant at the age of 17 and decided to marry and have the baby, he is now 15 years old and has 2 siblings from the same parents. My other sister tried for years to have a child, and couldn't, she adopted a baby girl. I'm not saying these answers are right for everyone not everyone should marry and have children, but when you get pregnant you are responsible for another life. If people were held responsible for their actions, I believe we would see a change in America for the better.

It's about time people learn responisibility and stop having sex at such a young age when they're not ready for children.
If sex was taught openly in schools -- and not just the abstinance standpoint -- we would see far less STD transmissions, teen pregnancy, and abortion. Those of you who believe that sex should be kept til marriage should have no objections to teaching such practices. Telling a teenager to use a condom when having sex, even showing them how to use a condom, will not result in any increase of sexual behavior. It will only provide a means for sexually active teens to be safe. You must face the fact that not everyone feels/believes as you do.
To set the record straight, I do believe in sex education in schools. I even believe in giving condoms away at schools, if that is what it takes. I know taking away abortions would not prevent teen pregnancy, I just want people to be more responsible.
I wasn't trying to imply that you disagree with sex-ed in high schools. But it is easy to understand how teens - especially those in the bible belt - have such a high rate of teen pregnancy when they are not properly taught how to safely have sex. There are still many myths out there about sex (i.e. you can't get pregnant on your period or if the male pulls out you won't get pregnant). As long as this misinformation is allowed to circulate and out children are uninformed about sex the rates of pregnancy at young ages will continue where it is, perhaps even increase. I realize that it is hard for many religious parents to accept that their son/daughter is having sex or even broach the subject but it needs to be addressed. Proper education would not promote more sex only enable those who choose to partake to make better decisions about it.
I like how you pointed out that just because someone is pregnant doesn't mean that marriage is the best option, in some cases it might be, but from seeing those types of marriages of my close friends,most ended badly. But I definatley believe that abortions should not be allowed.

What is a human being?
I understand your opinion and although mine is different, it's cool. But, what makes me wonder is what is a human being? Is it just our brains that make us different from the rest of the mammalian kingdom or our opposable thumbs?

For me, I believe in God. He made humans to be objects of his love. That is what makes us different from everything else, everything else was created for us by God. When two humans create a new life together, what else could it be but a human?
I pray that this will bring some comfort concerning this. for it is pass due . Do you believe in God and do you not know that the Lord will not put a spirit into a child until before it is to be born . Because the Lord know who will have the child removed and for this cause .it protect the child. The parents of those that remove a child from the whom for no reason will be held accountable before God .for it is Evil to do such thing Amen
