Can't get a job?

Well I looked for a job off and on since freshman year- I’m a senior now. Still no job. (needless to say in the 3.5 years it's been more off than on in the search.) But the only reason to get a job is money. Now, going to an urban public school, there are the poor kids with the $100 jeans. (drug dealers exist). But I’ve tapped into the suburban money pool that i've ignored for so long: Baby sitting! Sure, you can't really use it as a reference for jobs and stuff, but you can rake it in with little to no active work. I sat there doing my homework for a few hours and made $56 in one night. Teens can ask anywhere from $7-10 or up. It really is a job that most people ignore as an option. So if you're one of those people who just can't seem to get a job, there are always young mothers in need of a girls night out. take advantage of it!

I've used my babysitting clients as references before... well, the ones sho have used my services frequently, anyway! Glad you found a way to make $$ without getting a job, they can definitely be a pain!

Since I'm in college, I have work study to get me through the school year. This past summer I tried to find a job, and it took me 28 applications and a month of searching before I could find one: those bills stack up and odd jobs like babysitting or petsitting can't keep up. The job market for teenagers is horrible!

Freshman in high school or freshman in college?

I thought Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Stacey hogged all the jobs. It's a wonder what four thirteen-year-olds can do and what they're trusted with.

Off-topic.

i have an actual job and yet my sis makes more babysitting
