Ooh baby

How can it be more socially acceptable to have an abortion, even multiple abortions and not get talked about then to have a baby and be talked about and looked down upon by everyone? Why are teen girls who get pregnant and make the personal choice to have their child usually the ones being called sluts and being talked about by their peers and by adults and even their parents? I recently read a blog about abortion. A heated topic I realize, perhaps the most controversial of them all. In the blog the writer compared having an abortion to poisoning a one year old. I have an issue with this. I don't know if this ran on the news in the mainland but here in Hawaii there was some coverage-actually a damn lot of coverage of an incident on Oahu where a newborn baby was thrown off the freeway and instantly killed of course. My stand on abortion is that it should remain legal. Think about all the pregnancies that were conceived while women were snorting coke, or shooting heroin, or drinking excessively It wouldn't be fair for that child to bear the consequences of their parents reckless behavior and most parents wouldn't wish that upon their child. Also when the parents are reckless, have dangerous habits or are too young and clueless to raise a child. I know that their are a lot of people that would not be able to raise a child in the best environment and who have chosen, because of that to abort. I believe in abortions with reasons but I believe that people should start to be more careful. Everyday millions of people get abortions people who have the financial and family support to raise and support a child. Almost everyone I know has had an abortion and they talk about it like it is nothing. A couple have had more then one. Now these girls aren't sluts by any means (most of them) just plain stupid and careless. They don't take the pill or if they do they use it once in a while and they forget to take it at the same time, or they aren't on birth control and have sex without a condom and have their boyfriend pull out and hope for the best. I know this puts me in a bad light and anyone who is reading this is probably wondering about the people I hang out with but if any of you look down upon me for writing this kind of truth then it is just on you because this is the real lives of teenage girls and how they are "practicing safe sex" right now and if you hear from anyone any differently well then they're lying to you. The reason most of them aren't as careful as they should is partly because they know that there is always a way out. Some girls buy the day after pill the night after they've had unprotected sex but that was their intention from the get go. They knew they should of used a condom but whatever they were too drunk, their boyfriend was in too much of a hurry whatever, they knew that they shouldn't be going at it without any protection and they did worry about it but not that much because in the back of their minds they knew that the next day all they needed was to go get the day after pill. As simple as a trip to the health clinic to get it for free-if they are under 17 or if they have a friend who is 17 and can pretend like its for her or if they're over 18 a cool $50 will cover their ass. This type of behavior makes me sick. Most teenage girls nowdays simple do not give a fuck.
