Can Humankind Stop Global Warming?

While I know the controversy as to whether or not Global Warming is something that humankind caused or is part of a natural cycle of the Earth, do you believe there is anything that we can do about it?

Recycling does seem like a good start. I know that there are a lot of people who promote recycling programs by recycling several different products and materials and buy recycled products; but is that enough? What else can we do?

Perhaps this questioned could be more easily answered if more countries in the world would enforce recycling and polution laws. Sadly, there's no way to ensure that.

But how much of a difference do you think the recycling and stricter pollution laws are making as they stand now? What can be done to make them more effective? Will they succeed in stopping Global Warming altogether, or do you think they will just slow the process?

Stricter pollution and recycling laws would be very effective if they were set on the country that is sadly guilty for the speed at which global warming is going--the U.S. As the #1 industrial nation, the u.s. definetly needs to begin doing their part by cooperating with other nations, and ensuring that pollution is decreased. Decreasing pollution could be an issue to Americans because the economy could decline slightly, people can't just be left out of work, and people can't get to work without cars. Getting everyone to buy electric cars would be very difficult.
