Insomnia

So, I'm really typing this, because it's 5:02 am and I haven't been able to get any real sleep. For a week now, this is the kind of sleep I've gotten. Where I wake up and move around, go back to sleep, wake up, toss and turn, wake up and just get ready for school earlier than I need to.

I talked to friends about it, and lately a lot of people are having my same issue.

I don't know if it's caused by stress, because I haven't had much stress as of late. I've actually been living relatively stress-free.

I can't remember my dreams, so I don't know if it was a nightmare.

Maybe I should start keeping record of what happens through out each night so I can figure this problem out.

But the sleeping issues are starting to affect me with school. I get tired during the day and then sleep during musical rehearsals every day after school. I'm sure my director is getting tired with this behavior.

Maybe it's not so much insomnia as it's... being nocturnal? Sleep in the day, active at night?

I'm sitting here now thinking, damn I wish I had gotten more sleep. I'm so unbelievably tired. And I feel a sort of anxiety about it. My heart's racing and I'm sweating like crazy. I don't know what's wrong with me, really. Perhaps I should see a doctor or something?

What good is a nocturnal human that needs to go to school and do things during the day?

Yes, you should see a doctor. It'll take an hour of your time at most, no biggie.

I have hypersomnia. The opposite of insomnia. It sucks. :(

I've been having the same problem lately. I don't think mine is as bad as yours, it doesn't seem to be as constant or for as long, but I definately agree with Kiota that you should see a doctor.

Try to switch of your mobile phone, if you have a wireless router in your room, turn that one of too. Wireless emits 5 times the amount of your mobile.

Try to put your bed in the right direction, the best possible situation is to have your head positioned towards a south direction!

Don’t go straight to bed after using your computer, if you do, read a book for five minutes before switching of the light.

Have half a glass of water before you go to bed.

Don’t take any sugar based liquids or food prior to go to bed.

Lying on your back and focus upon your breath will be helpful to get you inside that in-between moment which can pull you to the other side, lol.

Try to organize your day in a better way, so you don’t need to go trough all the thinking hassle when you are trying to catch up with sleep.

Good luck,

You are welcome, If you have an Ipod, yank it full with classic music, it has an amazing ability to make you sleep even while still listening to the music,,,haha, I’m not joking.

If you don’t know what music to put on there, I’m the man to get you over into dreamland. Let me known, I will fix you a classic session that will put you away for 10 hours straight sleep… ;-)
