Every time I turn on the television it seems like the only thing I see is the candidates bashing each other. I find this to be very immature and ignorant. Now, I understand that with any election you have competitors putting each other down. However, this is a very important election. I can't emphasize this enough. Every time I see them putting each other down, I think to myself this is so childish. One reason being, it shows that you feel threatened to some point of having to put someone else down to make yourself look better. Now, looking into our country's future, putting someone else down is not going to make the situation better when you are feeling threatened. I mean, come on, would you tell Iraq...you better step back or I am going to say something to make you look bad on national t.v. in front of everyone? No, so why, when trying to prove how well suited for the job you are, would you do it now? Second reason, it just shows how much dignity and self-pride, you don't have. Growing up, didn't your parents teach you lessons like, if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all, or treat others how you would want to be treated, or how about don't talk about other people to make yourself feel better, it's wrong. Well, my family did, and personally, each candidate should consider this is another challenge that life is throwing at them, so, wouldn't it make them feel better if they won 100% because the people actually liked what you had to say about the country not how bad you made the other candidates look. My third reason, and final reason, is simply because as stated before it shows a strong level of immaturity. I do not know about anyone else, but personally, I do NOT want someone who acts like an 8 year old, being our country's leader. We need someone to show us the essential characteristics for a GREAT leader. Someone strong, bold, courageous, friendly, respectful, caring, HONEST, and patience is what America needs to be a strong country again. We need a leader to get us back up on our feet. Our economic situation is horrible, and someone with a good, well-thought-of plan needs to be in office. Also, to regain a good reputation, we need a leader who has dignity and pride in themselves and our country. They also need to be a little laid-back and have a sense of humor, but know their limits and when to be serious. I know we will never find anyone with all those characteristics, but maybe one day we will get close. Sorry, if I offended any readers with this blog. It is strongly how I feel, you either support it or don't support it either way, I won't change my mind. =] Have a nice day!
